Trip Update

Hello to our fellow CFAFers from “Partially sunny with afternoon thunder showers, Florida.” We have been enjoying our time here so much! The parks are not very crowded, and the weather has been…well, not too bad.

We spent all day (and I really mean ALL DAY) Wednesday at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom where the students and adults enjoyed shows, attractions, and great fellowship.

We started Thursday off with the Disney Professional Workshop – 2 1/2 hours of instruction from a long-time Disney performer. Thomas did a great job working with the students and I think they all got something out of the event. He spoke with them about how to interview – how to prepare for an interview, how to format a resume, and other great tips on how to present themselves and get the most out of an interview for work/scholarships etc. in such a competitive job environment. He seemed very surprised and pleased with how well our kids knew their music. He had apparently planned to spend a good deal of time on “tweaking” the songs – but said they sounded wonderful after the first time he heard them. He was also amazed by how many guys we have in our group – he said they never have any groups with so many guys.

The choreography was cute – but very, very difficult (for learning in such a short amount of time). Our students did a great job though, and I was thrilled with their final run-through. Actually, Mini Mouse came into our studio room just as the kids began to do their last run-through – and she sang and danced with them! It was a hoot!

We finished up Thursday with more fun in the park (Hollywood Studios). Again, we were able to do just about everything we wanted to do since the lines were not very long.

We are now getting ready to hit Epcot (yes, we decided to go in an hour later today) and I’m hoping for as nice a day as the last two!

We look forward to seeing everyone Saturday night!

Keep us in your prayers!
Hedy
