Georgia Tech Band Day
I’ve just received changes in the Georgia Tech Band Day – Please read through this as it may affect whether or not we participate.
Directors,
Because of increased ticket demand and the success of the Georgia Tech Football program, we have to make a change in the complimentary ticket policy for band day. Â Each student and staff member will receive a ticket for the day and each band will receive 1 complimentary ticket per 10 participants. Â Additional tickets may be purchased at the following website at a reduced price:
https://www.groupticketwindow.com/groupticket/college/gatech/group
group name: Â band
password: Â jackets
All of the complimentary tickets will be together and any additional tickets should be in a section close by. Â We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Â Please contact me with any questions.

Veteran’s Day Celebration
Several of our student groups will be participating in the Veteran’s Day Ceremony on November 11th.
Swing Kids will perform “Armed Forces Medley”
A select brass group has also been asked to participate.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their talents with our local community of veterans. Each year it is such a blessing to participate in this beautiful event. I invite and encourage all our families to attend this Celebration!
If you have a student in Swing Kids, please make sure Evey knows whether or not you will be able to attend.

Georgia Tech Band Day!
Students – you MUST know this new music in order to attend this event!
Students will have to be at the Georgia Tech practice field early in the morning on Nov. 7th. The game time has still not been announced, but will likely be around 1:00 pm. I have arranged for a bus service to deliver the students as well as directors and a few chaperons to the practice field – that way parents can wait until game time to arrive. The bus will not be available to bring the students home – so they are expected to return home with their families or to get a ride with another family. Please make plans ahead of time.

Several of our families have instruments they would like to sell and I’m trying to list those on our website. Please be looking for updates there – you might be able to pick up a great instrument! We also have the CFAF Singers USED choral dresses for sale (size 4 and size 6) – they are available to try on at the Fellowship Hall. If you have a dress to sell, bring it to CFAF tagged with name and selling price.
