11/23 – Thanksgiving and upcoming events

Happy Thanksgiving!
In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. I Thessalonians 5:18
Reminder – No classes or lessons this week with the exception of the High School Swing Choir groups who will meet Tuesday from 3:30 – 5:30.

Concert and Recital Fees are now due.
Recital Fee is $5 per family
Concert Fee is $5 per participating student
These fees are collected in order to pay for the performing facility at Reinhardt College.

Important Dates and Reminders
November 27th – Fall Formal at Freedom Tabernacle’s gym. Cost – $5 and bring food/snack to share. The dress is formal. Come and dance off the Thanksgiving turkey dinner!
December 3rd – CFAF Christmas Recital held at Chalcedon Presbyterian Church 7:00 pm.
Beginning Band – wear BLACK pants/skirt, WHITE shirt/blouse
Beginning Strings – wear BLACK pants/skirt, WHITE shirt/blouse
Intermediate Strings – wear BLACK pants/skirt, WHITE shirt/blouse
Suzuki Strings – wear Sunday clothing
K-2 Chorus – please ask Mrs. Roberts what you are to wear
Recorder Band – ask Ms. Evey what you need to wear
Please come out and support these great beginning groups as they perform – for some this will be their first performance.
December 5th – Christmas Parade! We will need students to walk beside the band and hand out candy as well as students to carry the parade banner.
December 8th – Dress rehearsal for the Christmas Concert (dress rehearsal in name only – we will rehearse at Chalcedon). 3:30 – ???
December 10th – CFAF Christmas Concert at Reinhardt College’s Falany Performing Arts Center. 7:00 (students need to arrive by 6:00).
December 11th – possible movie/dance night (movie: White Christmas)
December 15th – CFAF Christmas party and dance for all CFAF students (please limit outside guests)

Registration forms for the Spring semester will be available next week. Space is limited in most classes – so return the forms as soon as possible.

11/2 Update – Important Dates

Georgia Tech Tickets – GAME time is 3:30 – The bus will arrive at Tech at 10:30 (leave from Chalcedon by 9:30) – We will rehearse from 11:00 – 12:15 – 12:30ish – Chick Fil A is bringing our lunch to the stadium – students please bring $3 for your meal (let Mrs Farley know if you plan to bring your own meal instead). Students will wear their red T-Shirts and Bibbers and bring the jackets in the garment bag – bring your helmet as well. After lunch we will be escorted into the stadium to be seated by 2:45.

All State Chorus

Congratulations to all who auditioned – great scores! Five CFAF students were selected to attend All State Chorus – Courtney Hayden (for the 6th year in a row), Petey Farley, Vanessa Felso, Andrew Johnson and Ben Perri. Well done!
