Christmas Party

Merry Christmas, CFAFers!

Congratulations on a successful Christmas Recital, Christmas Concert and the completion of the Fall Semester! We have had a fun and exciting semester full of wonderful memories.

The Marching Band performed for the Falcons at two practice games, three regular games and one play-off game – in addition to performing with the Georgia Tech Band and marching in the Cumming Christmas Parade!

We had 10 CFAF students audition for Choral All State – five students were selected for All State Chorus and the rest were all very close to the cut-off scores. Well done! Six of our students were selected for and attended the 9th District Honor Chorus and represented us very well. We also had 22 students attend the Northwest Georgia Choral Festival – it has been a big year for our Choral Department!

We also had one student make it to finals at the All State Orchestra audition – Congratulations to Vanessa Felso! Also, three middle school students auditioned for All State Band and Honor Band and Madeline Miller made the final audition for All State Band and is 2nd chair in our 9th District Honor Band. Eight of our students auditioned for high school All State Band and 3 will go on to finals – Courtney Hayden, Hudson Chow and Taylor Chow. Five of these students were selected to the 9th District Honor Band – Courtney Hayden, Hudson Chow, Taylor Chow, Garrison Gerard, and Petey Farley will represent CFAF in the Honor Band. It takes so much courage to audition, and I’m so proud of all the students who went through this process!

This Fall we have had many opportunities for fun and fellowship as well as preparing for performances and concerts! We started the year off with a Fall Dance followed by 3 Dance/Movie nights and a Fall Formal.

We’d like to conclude this year by having a CFAF Christmas Party on Tuesday night (12/15/2009). This party is for all the CFAFers – young and old. Please come out for a night of fellowship, food and fun! There will be games and crafts for the younger students and plenty of dancing and games for the older students.

When – Tonight! 7:00
Where – Chalcedon Presbyterian Church
What to bring – Please bring food to share with everyone – sweet or savory!
