Swing Choir

Tuesday 4:30-5:30

Swing Choir is a performance choir for high school students that combines singing and choreography for an exciting musical presentation. Admittance to Swing Choir is by audition only – there are opportunities for full membership as well as alternates. This is for students 9th grade and up. Students must also be members of CFAF Singers.

Costume fees may be required. Rehearsals and performances are mandatory – students who miss more than two rehearsals per semester may be replaced by an alternate in any performance.

This group has performed at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee as well as the Georgia State Capitol, and the Chattanooga ChooChoo. In the Spring of 2009 the CFAF Swing Choir participated in a professional workshop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! They also perform for local events such as The Morris Performing Arts Dance Recitals, The Forsyth Senior Center, Church and school functions and local nursing homes.

Auditions are held as openings become available. Students interested in auditioning should be able to sing parts independently, and learn basic choreography quickly.
