Abby Johansen
Abby Johansen is CFAF graduate and has been teaching at CFAF since 2018. Abby graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Music (Musical Arts, voice) with a minor in Business Administration from the University of North Georgia. During her time at UNG, she was the president of both the UNG Singers and Le Belle Voci, held a council position for the UNG Chorale, and was a featured soloist in every group she performed with. In addition, Abby acted as the Chorister of UNG’s chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon and was an instructional assistant for music theory courses at UNG. Abby has taught lessons at Atlanta Piano Fortissimo, and is currently teaching lessons at the Lakewood Music Institute and Ponce de Leon Music Center, as well as at CFAF. Abby is the primary instructor for Middle School Celtic, Class Piano, Ladies Choir, and Color Guard, and has also taught Beginning Strings, Intermediate Band, Swing Kids, Elementary Clogging, and Musical Theater. Abby teaches private lessons in voice, piano, violin, and ukulele. She maintains membership with GMEA and Mu Phi Epsilon. Abby's goal is to foster a life-long love for music in the next generation of musicians and prides herself on her dedication to her student’s success as performers and as people.
