CFAF Jazz Band

A class for the more advanced player, this ensemble is by audition or invitation only. Students are also expected to be in another ensemble for classical training (ie. concert band, orchestra, marching band etc) to be considered. This class is not meant to replace classical training, Jazz band is meant to supplement a musician’s experience by adding an additional element of growth. This group consists of saxaphones, clarinets, low brass, trumpets and rhythm instruments (guitar, bass, piano and drumset). We play a variety of big band arrangements, including Swing, Jazz, Pop and Funk. This ensemble will perform in December and in May.
