Marching Band

This is a great opportunity for local students to experience Marching Band - a unique performance ensemble! We begin in the summer - the first week of June - working on our marching show music. The third week in July we have an intensive Band Camp where students will learn the drill for our show. Band Camp is more than just hard work, it is about working together as a team, playing games, making new friends and preparing for the whole season! After we learn the drill, we perform at half-time shows during the home football games for Horizon Christian Academy and play pep band music in the stands.

This class is open to all students (or parents!) who have finished intermediate band. We have side-line positions available for students who play piano or auxiliary percussion.
To prepare for our marching band season we offer summer classes where students learn the music. If you have never tried marching band or aren't sure if it's for you, try our beginning marching band class. If you're ready to try it out, try our marching band class! The marching band will perform at 4-6 football games at Horizon Christian Academy and the Cumming Christmas Parade. We supply a band uniform with a $35 uniform fee. Students are responsible for bringing their instrument and uniform to each game. Fall semester marching band class will meet on Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:20. |
