Celtic Dance
The Celtic project is a class where students will learn the basics of Celtic dance, being highly influenced by Scottish Country Dancing. Students will learn setting, the Irish turn, the circle, the pinwheel, the petronella, and many more. Celtic Dance is performed in barre feet or jazz shoes. There will be at least two performances, one in December and one in May.
Usual Performance Attire: Girls wear a white button down long sleeve shirt that the sleeves can be rolled up and a black skirt that hits mid-calf with black bicycle shorts underneath. Boys wear a white button down long sleeve shirt that the sleeves can be rolled up and black pants. There will be two Celtic classes, one for middle school students and one for high school students.
