Our aim as a Christian organization is to reflect Christ, in what we say, do, and even what we wear. Please dress modestly.
Here are some reasons why we have a dress code at CFAF:
1) God calls us to be modest and decent and He tells us not to tempt others. When you buy and outfit, or try on an outfit at home, when you look in the mirror do you look worldly? Or do you look Christ-like?
2) CFAF is a music school, we have a dress code because it's professional. Dressing inappropriately is very unprofessional and immature.
3) We want young children at CFAF to look up to you as godly Christians. Please try to be a strong, godly influence.
Dress code:
-no tank tops
-no camisoles
-no low cut shirts
-no tight clothing (shirts or pants)
-no shirts that come up when you raise your arms (especially for classes that dance and have to raise their arms a lot)
-no short shorts (while standing up in your shorts, if your fingertips touch any skin on your legs, that is not allowed...when in doubt, don't wear it)
-no short skirts or dresses (even if you wear shorts underneath, which is ALWAYS preferred, if the dress or skirt is too short it still gives the impression that you are immodest and don't care about your dignity or the feelings of the boys and girls around you). Skirts and dresses should be two inches above the knee or longer.
-no shirts that hang off of the shoulder
-no straps showing
-No leggings or tight-fitting pants
-No tight shirts without a jacket or shirt overtop
-No face jewelry including eyebrow rings, nose rings, lip rings, and tongue rings
-Please look at yourself in the mirror and do a couple of tests, especially if you're in one of the swing classes. If you raise your arms and your shirt comes up and reveals skin, that's also not allowed. If in doubt, wear a t-shirt
Please be a godly example to the people around you by dressing decently and modestly.
