Clogging

Clogging is a type of folk dance in which the dancer's footwear is used percussively by striking the heel, toe and ball of the foot to create rhythms and sounds to music.
Corie Johansen is offering clogging classes at CFAF. Corie clogged competitively for 7 years. Clogging shoes with Steven stomper taps are recommended (can find them on eBay) but tap shoes are welcome at the entry beginner level as well. Several basic steps will be introduced in class and combined in routines.

Middle School Clogging - Grades 6-8 High School Clogging - Grades 9-12 Elite Clogging (audition only) - Grades 6-12. Auditions will be held on audition day before the first day of fall classes. Adult Clogging - Adults over 18, graduates, moms, dads, friends. Adult Clogging meets on Thursdays 6:00-7:00 pm. Cost is $25/month. |
